just installed OS X Lion and I’m really enjoying it so far. i’ve only had it up and running for about twelve hours but like i said, so far, it’s great.
Bon Iver. new album in June. that about does it.
just got this album in today. it’s really great. i discovered the single “wore it deep” back in february and very much enjoyed it. i recently checked up on the tree ring last week since the album had released, and after hearing the first track i ordered the album on vinyl. if you have time take a listen to their music it’s really great. i also very much enjoy the recording style of the album, it was done in a cabin (awesome!)
the link to this article came through my Reeder feed (which is a great RSS reader for iPad and Mac OS X check it out here). These are some great photos of The Beatles, I really enjoyed them, check them out.
this album is incredible and if/when it comes out on vinyl it will for sure be in my collection shortly afterwards (hopefully). his style is simple, deep (lyrically and musically), and simply incredible. have a listen here: James Blake - Wilhelm Scream.
first off. i want to move to england. second, i am thoroughly enjoying my new job at birdeye design. the guys there are awesome and i’m really looking forward to expanding my talents there. third, i still love recording and hope and pray that there is some way that i can get gear again soon so that i can start doing it again. i miss recording so much and am sad that i’m unable to use this gift i’ve been given. music to me is a great escape. it’s the way that i catalog memories. if i hear a song that i haven’t listened to in a long time it triggers memories in my mind and allows me to vaguely relive the time in my life associated with that song. sometimes it’s a wonderful memory and sometimes it’s hard to make it the whole way through without skipping to the next track. memories tend to hurt, occasionally they make me ask/wonder, “why can’t things be that way again? everything was so much…easier then”. but then i think about where i am today and i’m thankful. soon i’m going to be married(!), it’s exciting and scary all at the same time but i’m looking forward to sharing and living the rest of my life with my best friend right beside me. what better way is there to go through life than like that? along the way there will be more memories and plenty of songs to tag them with. all in all i’m looking forward to this new year and all that it holds. happy new year (belated). God Bless.

just heard this band on KEXP. they’re, to say the least, phenomenal! check them out for sure.
these were my birthday gifts. i’ve been through all of them and they are absolutely phenomenal.
